RoundnAbout: Concept, Design, UX and UI
RoundnAbout is a map-based website which uses Google Maps API. It lets the user see attractions and events within a radius of the users location. The website is very unique, and so initial research and wireframing was essential to iron out any flaws in how the user might engage with the product. Even though the concept is relatively simple the difference in designs for desktop and mobile would be quite different. As this is a personal project I was very keen to make the experience for the user easy and straightforward. The website contains quite a complex filter system which was quite new to me. Creating all of the UI assets as SVGs meant that Illustrator played a big part in the interface design. Doing this meant that all icons and assets are crisp, clean and scalable.
